Superbike & Supersport World Championships, Superstock FIM Cup Changes to the Rules The Superbike Commission, composed of Messrs. Paolo Flammini (FGSport), Claude Danis (FIM) and Giulio Bardi (Team representative), in a meeting held today in Qatar, unanimously decided to introduce the following modifications to the Road Racing Superbike & Supersport World Championship and Superstock FIM Cup Regulations: SPORTING REGULATIONS (immediate application) 1.15.2 Practice Sessions (warm-up inclusive) To delete: v) Riders or mechanics may only start their motorcycles in the pit lane by pushing in the direction of the circuit. 1.31 Extra deposit in case of machine control following a protest The deposit in case of dismantling and reassembling a machine to measure the cylinder capacity, following a protest, is USD 200.- (material included) The deposit in case of partial or complete dismantling of an engine or gearbox is USD 350.- TECHNICAL REGULATIONS (application as from 1.1.2008) Supersport 2.5.1 Displacement capacities Over 400cc up to 600cc 4 stroke 4 cylinders Over 500cc up to 675cc 4 stroke 3 cylinders Over 600cc up to 750cc 4 stroke 2 cylinders 2.5.2 Minimum Weights The minimum weights will be: 600 cc four cylinders 158 kg 675 cc three cylinders 162 kg 750 cc two cylinders 166 kg
