Triumph Motorcycles and Jason DiSalvo continue to build on their relationship with the British motorcycle manufacturer’s presenting sponsorship of the Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy. The pair’s history includes DiSalvo’s tenure on Triumph’s former World Supersport team and current role piloting Latus Motors Racing’s AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike entry. “As much as I enjoy racing, I love to help others improve their riding abilities,” said DiSalvo. “We created the Speed Academy to help riders raise their game at the track, and with Triumph’s re-emergence into racing this partnership was a natural fit for both of us.” The Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy combines classroom activities and on-track sessions to teach the same techniques professional road racers use to become smarter, faster and safer riders. Sessions are designed to improve each rider’s knowledge and awareness of bike setup, how to give feedback to trained Öhlins technicians after on-track sessions, and translate that feedback into suspension settings that deliver faster lap times with more confidence. DiSalvo himself is one of the lead instructors, riding on-track aboard his personal Triumph Daytona 675R with his students to both show racing lines by leading and observing by following for a unique perspective that only an on-track experience can provide. GoPro cameras are mounted to the instructors’ motorcycles throughout the sessions to show students what they look like at speed for an unparalleled perspective of their performance. “Speed is a byproduct of matching a rider’s ability and knowledge with a machine that’s properly tuned to their riding style and the conditions around them,” said DiSalvo. “Every Speed Academy rider gets one-on-one attention to increase their knowledge of and comfort with their bike, which increases their confidence and helps them go faster while having a great time doing it.” The Jason DiSalvo Speed Academy hosts events at Alabama’s Barber Motorsports Park and Talladega Gran Prix Raceway, Florida’s Jennings GP, Michigan’s Gingerman Raceway and Grattan Raceway, Georgia’s Road Atlanta, and Wisconsin’s Road America.
