Yorkshire Superbike Racer Tom Tunstall is raring to take his place on the British Superbike grid in 2011 after adding his name to a growing list of Evo riders. Competing in “a race within a race” the Evo specification bikes run to the same spec but with a stock engine and no electronic rider aids regulated by a control ECU. Tunstall is focussed and eager to start the new challenge. With continued backing from the specialist insurance company Doodson Broking Group – the Doodson Motorsport Team will continue to run under the familiar yellow colour scheme. Rider and team owner Tunstall explains: “Moving to the Evo class is a logical step for us, the championship is certainly stepping up a level in 2011. With riders who’ve scored podiums in the main class and top teams signed up, this increases not only the challenge but also the credibility of the class. “I’d like to thank Doodson for their continued commitment and I am determined to repay them with results. Our goal for 2011 is very clear and with only two weeks before our first test, we are working hard to give ourselves the best opportunity to accomplish them. “With track time scheduled in both Spain and the UK we aim to be fully prepared and ready when the season kicks off” The first race of the twelve round season is held at Brands Hatch in Kent on April 23rd-25th, and with the biggest grid in British Superbike history it promises to be an exhilarating season. 2011 British Superbike Calendar Apr 22-25 Brands Hatch* Apr 30-May 2 Oulton Park* May 13-15 Croft May 28-30 Thruxton* June 17-19 Knockhill July 1-3 Snetterton 300 July 15-17 Oulton Park Aug 5-7 Brands Hatch GP Aug 27-29 Cadwell Park* Sept 9-11 Donington Park Sept 23-25 Silverstone Arena GP Oct 7-9 Brands Hatch * = Bank Holiday weekend
