Tom Tunstall and the Hardinge Doodson Motorsport Team have confirmed they will be back on the British Superbike [BSB] grid in 2009, with their sights set on success in the Daily Star Superbike Cup Championship. The highly popular BSB championship is renowned as the toughest domestic motorcycle championship in the world and will once again be screened live on Eurosport reaching 32million homes in 46 countries, as well as enjoying terrestrial coverage on Channel 4. Sticking with Honda machinery the team have upgraded to the latest spec CBR1000RR Fireblade having sourced the race bikes from the World Superbike paddock. Tunstall said “I’m very happy with our preparations for 2009. The new bike looks great and although I haven’t ridden it yet everyone I’ve spoken to says it’s a big improvement over the old model. I can’t wait to get down to Spain and start testing”. The team are delighted to continue their partnership with Hardinge Machine Tools Ltd who sold over £18million worth of CNC machine tools in the UK in 2008 and have strong links with the motorsport engineering sector including technical partnerships with Force India F1 team.
