Twenty-First Century Racing Signs Carter, Knight For 2011 CRMC National ACU Championship

‘Twenty-First Century Racing’ are pleased to announce that former G.P winner Alan Carter & Chris Knight will race for them this season. C21racing.com will be contesting the British CRMC national ACU championship plus selected rounds of the ICGP series within Europe. Both Alan & Chris will be racing a brace of TZ 350cc Yamaha’s and the team’s principal sponsor will be Watches of Distinction Ltd operated by Giles Waite & Ian Coles. Please go to www.watchesofdistinction.com Alan needs no introduction to race fans worldwide. The 46 year old has competed at the very highest level of motorcycle racing from 1980-1994. Alan won his second ever Grand Prix – the 1983 French Grand Prix aged just 18. In 1987 he signed to ride for Bob McLean in the AMA 250GP series in the US. In all, Alan enjoyed three years in the US. 1988 & 1989 saw him team up with Californian sponsor Bob Pave his machines prepared by tuner John Lassak. In the seasons to follow Alan rode for the official Honda Britain race team in the domestic UK championships. Chris Knight, 44 years old from Loughborough, began his racing career on a production Yamaha LC. In 1988 Chris also competed in the US. Early season saw a brief spell with John Ulrich’s Team Hammer competing in the WERA endurance series. Chris went on to ride a Jim LaBine prepared Honda in the AMA 600cc Supersport Series. 1989 saw Chris as a winning member of the Eurolantic team at Donington Park on a George Beale RC30 Superbike. With outings currently scheduled within Europe, Alan & Chris are looking forward to the opportunity of bringing their race team to the USA sometime in the future.
