Barrett LONG (Yamaha), 2:17.989 More, from a press release issued by Team Infinity Replicast: Kyle Ferris Runs Solo on Wet Track During 250GP QP1 at Red Bull Indianapolis GP Kyle Ferris ran a couple laps as the only rider on the track during a very wet 250GP QP1 session at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP on Friday. After feeling out the track and getting their bearings at the brand new MotoGP circuit at the famed Racing Capital of the World, Kyle and Team Infinity Replicast were happy with their first day results. “Our jetting was off in FP1, but some advice from the factory Yamaha 250GP team helped us get it sorted out and let Kyle drop his times further for QP1,” said Frank Pate, Team Owner. “Everyone is literally getting their feet wet as we all learn the track, but Indy is an awesome place and we’re very excited to be here!” “I was a bit nervous at first being out there with the best 250 riders in the world,” said Kyle Ferris, riding as #38 on the Team’s 2008 Yamaha TZ250. “I slid off in the first practice session, but there was no real damage. I felt much more comfortable in the afternoon and enjoyed the qualifying session as there weren’t too many riders out there during the rain and I wanted to get in some more laps.” Despite the weather, Kyle ended up 20th in the first 250GP qualifying session after the sun broke out for the final five minutes of the session. Daniel Jackson, Team Infinity Replicast Crew Chief, believes the bike and Kyle are capable of getting even faster on Saturday, especially if the weather dries out a bit. Team Infinity Replicast is proud to be a part of the inaugural Red Bull Indianapolis GP and reminds fans to tune in to NBC on Sunday, September 14 at 3PM EST to watch the MotoGP race live! Keep an eye on www.motogp.com to see all the 250GP action on their video section. Created in 2004 by Frank Pate, Team Infinity Replicast won the 2006 and 2007 USGPRU 250 National Championships (with riders Alex Walsh and Ryan Ferris, respectively, who will also attend the Red Bull Indianapolis GP as supporting Team Members).
