AMA Pro Racing will require that racebikes entered in the Daytona SportBike Daytona 200 night race March 6 at Daytona International Speedway be equipped with a tail light or tail lights measuring four square inches. The regulation is not in the 2009 rulebook but will be in the supplemental regulations for the event, which will be released soon, according to Director of Road Racing Bill Syfan. Scotty Van Hawk, rider/owner of the Four Feathers Racing team, got advanced word of the tail light requirement, and encouraged his sponsor, StreetFX, to get involved. As a result, StreetFX has offered its Electropods LED tail light kits free to all riders entered in the Daytona 200. StreetFX will be at Daytona International Speedway to provide technical support. StreetFX can be contacted at www.streetfxseries.com, e-mail [email protected] or toll free at (800) 878-3413 extension 1564.
