Updated: AMA Factory Riders Denied Participation In Thursday Practice At VIR

AMA factory riders Roger Hayden and Josh Herrin were denied participation in the practice day (billed as the Suzuki Privateer Appreciation Day Presented By Team Hammer) put on Thursday at Virginia International Raceway (VIR) by Team Hammer Advanced Riding School & Track Rides and its parent company Team Hammer, Inc. Team Hammer, Inc. issued a press release on February 20, 2007 stating that it had banned factory team riders from its School, Track Day and Practice Sessions this season. Hayden and teammate Jamie Hacking rode at VIR June 28-29 in a factory team test, which was not open to any privateers.
