Latus Motors Racing’s Jason DiSalvo earned the provisional pole position for the 70th running of the Daytona 200 with a time of 1:51.422 on his Ducati 848EVO during AMA Pro Daytona SportBike qualifying Friday morning at Daytona International Speedway. The session was marred by a number of crashes, including one by Monster Energy Graves Yamaha Josh Herrin, who fell in the second corner of the 3.5-mile infield road course and was taken to the infield medical center. Herrin’s Team Manager Tom Halverson did not know Herrin’s condition at post time. Update: Josh Herrin did not suffer any major injury in his highside crash, he reported in a text message to Roadracingworld.com. He wrote that he is “really stiff” and that his wrist hurts.
