Kris TURNER, USA (APRILIA), did not ride Editorial Note: American wild card Kris Turner’s entry has been withdrawn from the event, according to a statement issued by Indianapolis Motor Speedway, due to an injury he suffered when he crashed his Veloce Racing Aprilia during Friday’s practice session. According to Turner’s father Danny, he suffered bruising to his lower right leg. Update from Veloce Racing Team Owner Spiros Gabrilis: “Mercifully, the ankle is not broken. He has what they are calling a fibula crack. Obviously, he will not ride this weekend. Our first question [Friday] was about a replacement rider. Unfortunately, because he is a wild-card rider, the rules do not permit us to bring in another rider because of the inability to confirm the rider’s qualifications.”
