CMRA Champion Dustin Dominguez grabbed the holeshot on his House of Kawasaki ZX-6R, jumped out to a one-second lead halfway into the first lap and didn’t let any get close to him on his way to the win in Saturday’s AMA Pro SuperSport race at Auto Club Speedway.

Garrett Willis was second from the start but couldn’t push his new Mach 1 Motorsports Yamaha YZF-R6 hard enough to stay with Dominguez.

American Honda’s Clint Shobert, the 18-year-old son of 1988 AMA Superbike Champion Bubba Shobert, ran off the track while racing for third, lost several seconds to the group he was racing with but was still able to come back and pass Daytona SuperSport winner Tyler Odom for third place in the closing laps.

Odom finished fourth, and local rider Bryce Prince was fifth in the seven-rider race.
