Statement from Alice Sexton, former AHRMA Communications Director As of Monday November 3, 2008 I am no longer AHRMA’s Director of Communications. I sincerely enjoyed my tenure with AHRMA and I send warm regards to all my AHRMA friends and to the members who I have had the pleasure of serving. The new editors of Vintage Views and AHRMA.org are Tim and Cathy Lile. Their contact info is as follows: Voice: 302-562-4122 Fax: 302-239-2793 Email: [email protected] or [email protected] US postal service only: PO BOX 1716, Hockessin, DE 19707 Fedx or UPS: 944 Old Public Road, Hockessin, DE 19707 Alice Sexton [email protected] 310-212-7529 From a follow-up phone interview with Alice Sexton, who was contracted by AHRMA to produce the AHRMA newsletter and run the AHRMA website: “I was fired because before the Barber Board Meeting there was a movement led by Jeff Smith to not renew Executive Director Cindy Cowell’s contract. I found out about it and sent out an e-mail from my personal e-mail account to some racer friends of mine, saying that if they didn’t want Cindy to be fired they should contact their Director. I even said I was sending the e-mail as an AHRMA member and not as Communications Director. “That’s why I was fired. Basically I wasn’t playing the party line.”
