The races scheduled for Saturday at the Isle of Man TT have been postponed due to weather. The Superbike TT and Sidecar Race A will now be held on Monday, June 4. Rain and mist on part of the Snaefell section of the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course led to the postponement of the opening day’s race programme. The decision was made after a 30-minute delay to the start time of mid-day had been advised, with officials talking of an oil spill at the Bungalow, damp patches at the Mountain Box and also restricted vision for the rescue helicopter. The six lap Superbike TT and the first of the two Sidecar races will now be run on Monday. The weather forecast for the week ahead is excellent, after a very wet ‘Mad Sunday.’ Revised race timetable: Monday June 4. Superbike TT 10.45 – six laps Sidecar Race ‘A’ follows – three laps Tuesday June 5. Supersport TT 12.15 – four laps Wednesday June 6. Superstock TT 10.45 – four laps Sidecar Race ‘B’ 13.15 – three laps Friday June 8. Senior TT 12.00 – six laps The TT Parade of Champions will follow the Senior TT.
