Simone GROTZKYJ, Italy (APRILIA), 2:09.590 11 More, from a press release issued by Blusens by Paris Hilton Racing Team: DIFFICULT QUALIFYING PRACTICE FOR THE BLUSENS BY PARIS HILTON RACING TEAM RIDERS AT BRNO After the final free practice had been held on a wet track the qualifying practice took place on a completely dry asphalt hence allowing the 125 cc riders to ride at their maximum level. During the first part of the session both Maverick and Sergio were on the right track to achieve the result they expected. Gadea was riding among the top riders until a technical issue forced him to drop by the box. Back on the track he could not get back the good pace he initially had. For his part Viñales managed to ride among the top riders improving lap after lap but he eventually crashed when there were only five minutes to go hence losing the option to get a good qualifying spot on the grid. 25 MAVERICK VIÑALES (9º 2.09.458 +1.340): “The fact we had a practice less in dry conditions because of the rain didn’t help us much but everything was running smoothly during the qualifying practice in spite of the difficulty of riding on a track unknown to me. I gradually improved but I crashed when there were only five minutes to go and I was in fourth position with a very good partial. Crashing when there is so little to go before finish is really bad because this is when the times decrease a lot and you end up far behind. I tried and I failed but I am feeling physically fine and tomorrow we will battle at the top of our game.” 33 SERGIO GADEA (11º 2.09.864 +1.747): ” I am disappointed because I had just another stroke of bad luck. The connecting rod of the rear suspension gave out when I was riding among the top riders and feeling at ease. A few details were still missing to the setting-up but we had a lot of time ahead. After this technical issue things has got complicated. I got back on the track under pressure, with a lack of self-confidence and on top of that Cortese passed me around finish when I was just starting to improve. Anyway I am sure things will go beter tomorrow.”
