Luis SALOM, Spain (APRILIA), 2:09.331 More, from a press release issued by Blusens Supermartxe by Paris Hilton Team: SERGIO GADEA WILL START THE RACE ON THE SECOND LINE OF THE GRID AT THE GP OF QATAR WHILE BLUSENS SUPERMARTXÉ by PARIS HILTON TEAM-MATE MACK VIñALES WILL START ON THE THIRD LINE IN HIS DEBUT RACE IN THE MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Losail, 19th March 2011. Blusens SuperMartXé by Paris Hilton Team riders did an outstanding performance during the qualifying sessions of the motorcycling world championship first test GP of Qatar and achieved two good positions on the grid in the run-up to the race that will be held tomorrow at the Losail circuit under an impressive artificial light. Sergio Gadea has made significant progress since the first free practice sessions on Thursday until today and has finished fourth hence qualifying on the second line of the starting grid. He will definitely battle to win this first race of the world championship. This year the starting grid lines will be made up of three riders instead of four. Maverick Viñales had an excellent debut in the motorcycling world championship and has constantly improved his times during the four sessions held so far. During the official session this afternoon he managed to achieve little more than two minutes and nine seconds hence qualifying on the third line of the grid an outstanding result which will enable him to start off this world championship with the option of battling to finish in the top ten. 33 SERGIO GADEA (4th. 2’07.857, +1.252): “I am happy because starting on the second line is a good result especially if we take into account that we were really close to get the first line but the problem is we are quite far behind Nico. Despite the difference in time is pretty big we’ll run tomorrow’s race with the intention to win. If we see that is impossible we’ll try to make the best out the race. It’s important for us to score as many points as possible and I think we’ll be able to achieve it. The team has done a great job and we have made progress every time we have taken to the track and I think we are in excellent conditions for this first event even if we are not 100% of our potential. We´ll be working a bit on the engine during the warm-up this afternoon and we’ll also take the opportunity to do more running in because we need it. And afterwards we’ll focus on making a good start tomorrow and get into the battle for victory.” 25 MAVERICK VIÑALES (9th. 2’09.218, +2.613): ” Everything has been quite all right for us, we have done a great job and achieved an outstanding result even if I think we could have done a bit better. During the qualifying sessions I have felt very good again after falling twice on Thursday which undermined my self-confidence. I think if I hadn’t fallen we could have made a bigger step ahead and achieved a better position and that’s why I am confident that I will take advantage of the 20 minutes in warm-up to improve both the technical side and my riding. I still have to get familiar with the layout though. We have the right set-up and my objective tomorrow is to make the best out of the race and end up in the top ten.”
