WITCHKRAFT RACING/SPORTBIKETRACKGEAR.COM TO AGAIN FIELD KYLE WYMAN AT AMA PRO SEASON FINALE AT NEW JERSEY MOTORSPORTS PARK

Shelby, MI Witchkraft Racing/SportbikeTrackGear.com will be competing at New Jersey Motorsports Park this upcoming weekend with repeat rider Kyle Wyman for the final stop on the AMA Pro calendar at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

Kyle finished an impressive 9th and 11th in both AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike races during the last event held at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on July 9th and 10th. This was Kyle’s first time on a 600 in nearly a year and his first time riding the team’s Yamaha R6. The results were very promising – enough that the team is looking forward to another partnering as they roll into Millville, New Jersey this weekend. Kyle will be sporting #133 on the Honda East of Toledo-backed machine and will be accompanied by fellow rider Jeff Wrobel, who will be competing in the AMA Pro Supersport class.

“I can’t wait to get back on the Witchkraft Racing/SportbikeTrackGear.com Yamaha R6 this weekend at NJMP,” said Wyman, “The team did a great job at Mid-Ohio and we were able to come away with a top ten finish. Now that I am familiar with the bike and team I am really looking forward to seeing what we can do at the season finale. Big thanks to Eddie Kraft for giving me another opportunity to ride on some top-notch equipment.”

Crew Chief Joe Kraft commented, “After the long break since Mid-Ohio, we’re all very excited to be back racing and heading to New Jersey. Kyle easily worked into our team dynamic and the results speak for themselves. With one event now together, I feel we have an improved package with the bike and I’m sure Kyle will attest his level of comfort with the bike will continue to improve as he turns more laps, at a track he’s familiar with.”

Kraft continues, “Our plan is to simply go out and put in the work each day and improve every session. We’re all still learning and as long as we can progress forward, the results will come.”

AMA PRO SUPERSPORT EAST RIDER RYAN KERR IS FOCUSED ON A STRONG SEASON FINISH AT THUNDERBOLT RACEWAY

Johnstown, Ohio – After an engine failure at Mid Ohio shortened his weekend of racing, Ryan Kerr and the Ryan Kerr Racing team are ready to get back on the track at Thunderbolt Raceway. “My second season competing in the AMA Pro SuperSport East Series has certainly been surrounded with ups and downs but I am hopeful that with a strong finish in New Jersey that I can meet my goal of being an overall top 5 finisher for the season.”

Coming out of Mid Ohio with a second row qualifying start has given Kerr the confidence to be a front runner off the grid at Thunderbolt. “Qualifying has been a challenge for me, Kerr explains, but I feel that I now have what it takes to be a leading qualifier in New Jersey. I plan on starting up front and finishing up front at the event on September 2 4.”

The Ryan Kerr Racing team and his team of sponsors have been devoted to providing top of the line equipment throughout the past season. “My team has done an exceptional job of having my bikes race ready at every event and I truly appreciate their hard work and support. We have had some unfortunate setbacks this season with unexpected mechanical challenges but we continue to rally and I plan on finishing the season strong.”

Competing in the last race of the season for the AMA Pro SuperSport East Series presents ample opportunity to move up the point’s ladder. Ryan Kerr and the Ryan Kerr Racing Team plan on utilizing lessons learned this year and applying them on the track at Thunderbolt Raceway. Kerr states, “Thunderbolt was good to me last year and is one of my favorite tracks. I look forward to being a top contender at the upcoming event. Finally, I want to send out my thoughts to all of those on the East Coast impacted by Hurricane Irene. Racing seems secondary when you witness the destruction and impact of so many lives from such a powerful storm.”

Holland, Michigan 1 September 2011

Team RidersDiscount.com and Jake Holden Racing have been waiting over a month to get back on the AMA Pro Road Racing grid for the final round of the season at New Jersey Motorsports Park. After Cameron’s fight for the win at Laguna Seca was cut short by a red flag, the team is off to make way for the front yet again! Cameron has never been to the track before, so it’s going to be a new challenge for the team to set up the machine for the technical Thunderbolt course. But challenges are what racing is all about and even though hardship seems like it’s been a mainstay of Team RidersDiscount.com Jake Holden Racing all season long, nobody is backing down for the last run of the year.

Cameron wants to get back to the front for another crack at a number one finish. Since Laguna Seca, he’s been working on his A-game playing in the dirt and even putting in a few trackdays for good measure. The fact P1 has eluded the team all season only serves as extra motivation to get the job done this weekend. There are only two more chances left to put it on top of the podium and everyone at Team RidersDiscount.com Jake Holden Racing is ready to do battle!

Cameron Beaubier “Over the break, I spent time with some friends, rode mini bikes and have been cycling a lot to keep fit. I also rode a stock Yamaha YZF-R6 out at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Northern California a couple times at trackdays just to stay riding during the long break. I’m really looking forward to the final round. I’ve never ridden at New Jersey Motorsports Park, but I’ve heard it’s an awesome track! I flew out Wednesday for New Jersey and I’m feeling good and I’m ready to race!”

Breaann Poland, owner Jake Holden Racing “The team is more than ready to head to NJMP for the final round of the 2011 AMA Pro Road Racing Championship. Cameron had a strong showing at the last round at Laguna Seca for his best finish of the season. He’s ready to push for the number one spot on the podium! It has been a pleasure working with him over the last few rounds and I would love to see another podium run! The team has really pulled together this year to make things happen, a Cinderella story of sorts. Nothing would make myself, and the team happier than to finish out the season on a high note. I want to show all the sponsors, the fans – everyone who stepped up to help us this season a good result at New Jersey Motorsports Park. I had doubts about even making it to the first round after we lost our title sponsor but we made it and we’re going all-out for the last event!”

Brian Gibson, owner RidersDiscount.com “In some ways, the layoff has felt like a long pause in the action, but it’s allowed everyone to prepare for the last race of the year. Cameron has only ridden a bone-stock R6 since Laguna, so he’s eager to go at it on a full racer. We’re really excited to see the team back in action this weekend and despite the way the season has gone, we’re proud to be a part of Jake Holden Racing and look to NJMP with great enthusiasm!”

GEICO Road Racing team on verge of two championships

MILLVILLE, N.J. (Sept. 1) — GEICO riders Danny Elsick and Chris Fillmore are so close to winning AMA Road Racing titles they can almost taste the champagne, but neither pro is quite ready to celebrate on the eve of the final race of the year.

“Everyone’s been telling me ‘Congratulations’ and sending me e-mails saying ‘Way to go,’ and I’m like, ‘Hold on, I haven’t won anything yet,'” said Eslick, who enters this weekend’s twin-bill of races at New Jersey Motorsports Park with a 45-point advantage over Josh Herrin in the AMA Daytona Pro SportBike standings. “I’m not taking anything for granted. We still have two races left and anything can happen.”

Eslick’s edge over Herrin is far more comfortable than the one Fillmore has over Steve Rapp in the AMA Vance & Hines XR1200 class, which stands at 12 points. But Fillmore only races his Harley-Davidson once this weekend. The most points a rider can earn in a single race is 32.

“I have never been in this position before so its kind of going to be a learning experience for me,” Fillmore said. “On the one hand you think maybe you should ride defensive and just play it safe. But then you think that the way you’ve been riding all year is what got you into this position so you don’t want to change that.

“Once I pull that helmet on I’m probably going to try my hardest to win. If I do that, nothing else matters. I’ve done my best riding when I’m out front; that’s the way we’ve won four races, so I’ll probably go for it.”

Should Eslick win, it would be the third title in a row for the Oklahoman. He captured the SportBike crown in 2009 and followed that up by winning the XR1200 class in 2010, while also taking second in SportBike. He started this year with a spectacular wreck and a DNF at the Daytona 200 but has come on strong since then, winning three times and finishing on the podium at eight races.

Fillmore, who hails from Michigan, has four victories and has finished on the podium in all but one race. Rapp is the only racer with a chance to catch him.

Also riding for GEICO and Richie Morris Racing this weekend will be Kyle Wyman and Michael Corbino, who ride identical Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Racing/Revolution Performance machines in the XR1200 class. Wyman enters the final race in fifth place with one win in two podium finishes, while Corbino holds down seventh. Corbino hasn’t reached the podium but has finished in the top 10 at every event.
