Team Vesrah Suzuki won the second round of the 2007 Bridgestone WERA/AMA National Endurance Series, a 4-hour race held at Barber Motorsports Park Saturday, finishing three laps ahead of the next team under sunny and warm conditions. Tray Batey, Chris Ulrich, Lee Acree and John Jacobi rode the Vesrah GSX-R1000, in that order, lapping the field twice before the end of the second hour despite an early race red-flag to clear crash debris. BMW Motorrad had crashed on the second lap, with officials bringing out the red flag a little more than five minutes into the race. On the restart, Batey streaked away from the field and Vesrah Suzuki was never challenged during the remainder of the 4-hour race. Besides taking the overall win, Vesrah also won in the Heavyweight Superbike class. TVR/Team Moes’ Chuck Ivey, James Stroud and Josh Day took second overall and first in the Heavyweight Superstock class on a Pirelli Shod YZF-R1.
