We are holding a benefit dinner for Vincent Haskovec c/o The Wegman Benefit Fund and for the Roadracing World Action Fund. The dinner will be held at Tazzina Bistro, which is located in Woodland, California. Rebecca Reichardt is the chef and owner of Tazzina Bistro and comes from an extensive motorcycle family background. We are both avid followers of AMA and MotoGP and wish to lend our support. The benefit dinner will be held on Monday, September 12, 2005. The cost is $50 per adult and $15 per child. We will be taking reservations from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Included in the donation is a dinner consisting of a Caesar salad, Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti (vegetarian option available upon request), grilled organic vegetables, cookies and brownies, and a choice of ice tea, lemonade, or soda. In addition, we will have pass around appetizers for our guests to enjoy. We have a couple of events planned right now which include a continuous showing of the movie “Faster” as well as “Faster and Faster,” a Moto GP 2 X-Box competition, a raffle for small donations and a silent auction for bigger donations. Smaller donations would include magazine subscriptions, DVDs, tie-downs, T-shirts, hats, or anything else in that price range. For our silent auction, the items that we have are a signed Mick Doohan Arai helmet, a signed Colin Edwards hat, a custom painted helmet from Off Beat Productions, two track days from Pacific Track Time, signed leathers from either Jason Pridmore or Steve Rapp, and signed photos of AMA and Moto GP riders from D&W Images. We are currently still collecting items for our silent auction, and any donations for either the silent auction or raffle would be greatly appreciated. To the first 50 reservations, we will also include a T-shirt that we are printing up special for this event. We will also be printing up a limited number of T-shirts that we will have to sell at the event. We are also hoping to get some riders to show up to do an autograph session.
