Vanson Leathers Making Face Masks For First Responders And Public

Vanson, best known as a long-time manufacturer of leather goods and motorcycle riding apparel, including racing leathers, has shifted gears during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Massachusetts-based company is now making personal protective face masks for first responders and the public.

The masks are made from two layers of tight woven cotton fabric with rayon straps. They are washable and reusable, withstand boiling and being put in an autoclave, are resistant to 0.1% chlorine solution, and exceed some Red Cross specifications, according to Vanson.

The face masks are not available through Vanson’s website. They are only available via phone (508-678-2000) and email ([email protected]) orders.
