TEN KATE RACING / HONDA WORLD SUPERSPORT CHOOSE K-TECH FOR THE 2016

Further to the recent test Ten-Kate Racing and Honda World Supersport chose to use K-Tech as there Suspension supplier for the 2016 World Supersport season with rider PJ Jacobsen.

After fighting to an excellent second place in the hard-fought 2015 championship, the 22-year-old American from Montgomery, New York, has used pre-season testing to compare three different suspension manufacturers available to the Honda Racing team run by Ten Kate Racing.

After back-to-back tests with the options available, PJ felt confident with the K-Tech product compared to the other suspension options.

Throughout the test PJ was consistently improving lap times using the K-Tech DDS PRO shock and DDS Front Fork cartridges and the team felt this is the best option for the coming season.

PJ Jacobsen: “It’s great to have the opportunity to race with Honda, Ten Kate and K-Tech. The goals for the season are high; I finished second in the championship last year, so the only thing left is to get the number one spot. It’s not going to be easy as there are a lot of competitive riders out there this year, but the key will be to be riding at the front, race in, race out. I intend to take every round as it comes though, starting at Phillip Island of course.”

Ken Summerton of K-Tech: “ We are really excited to be working with Ten Kate Racing as they are a high profile professional team with the same ambition to win races. We have also worked with PJ for many years within different teams so we have built a good relationship with him and an understanding of his suspension requirements. Ken continues: “Further to our positive testing in Spain using the latest K-Tech DDS products, PJ put in a lap record at Jerez on worn tyres, showing the potential of the collaboration and we are really excited for the first round.”

See PJ and the Honda team in action as the season kicks off in Australia at the beautiful Phillip Island on February 26th-28th.

The product you see on the Honda World Supersport CBR600RR is exactly the same as you can buy off the shelf. K-Tech has an ever increasing range to cover most of the latest bike releases.

WALTER ZINI (CEO SAG Group)

“In 2016 we will be on track with Gresini Racing for the sixth consecutive year: we are approaching a very interesting season, with the debut of a completely new Aprilia prototype in MotoGP and an all-Italian rider line-up in Moto3, that for sure will give us a lot of satisfactions. Since 2011 we have been sharing with Fausto Gresini’s team a great passion for motorcycling, but that’s not all: Gresini Racing, exactly like our group of companies, is an Italian company with a strong international vocation, always ready to take on new challenges. Now we just have to wait for the start of the season to live many more good times together with the whole team!”.

FAUSTO GRESINI

“SAG TUBI has now become a nice constant with regard to our major racing programs: during the 2015 season Walter Zini, a big fan of the sport who I personally thank, has followed closely and with great enthusiasm our new partnership with Aprilia in MotoGP and together we collected a lot of satisfactory results in the smaller displacement, the Moto3 class, where Enea Bastianini was able to fight for the World Title, giving us the great victory at Misano. 2016 promises to be even more interesting: the upcoming season will see the debut of the new Aprilia prototype in MotoGP, while in Moto3 we have all it takes to be protagonists. We hope therefore to be able to achieve great results together with SAG TUBI!”.
