Following their recent board meeting VETMotorsports announces changes to their Board of Directors.
The board voted Barbara Wayman into the position as Board Secretary. The remainder of the VETMotorsports executive staff goes unchanged. Joining VETMotorsports’ voting board is Dan Parker, former Director, Programs and Special Projects with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) National Office. As Director of VFW Programs Parker administered all VFW Programs and Special Projects, which included a wide range of initiatives. Dan is also the former VFW Deputy Director of Membership and was responsible member acquisition and retention efforts. Also joining the board is Robert Laverick, M.Ed. Laverick is the former Regional Alumni Director, Northeast at Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). Laverick administered the northeast alumni outreach, which includes extensive knowledge of peer-to-peer support.
“Dan (Parker) and Bob (Laverick) both bring extensive knowledge of veteran issues and connections to VETMotorsports. They each have been advocates of VETMotorsports and are aware of the positive impact we are having in the veteran community. We have a very talented Board of Directors, and their addition adds a broader dimension of skills to the continued growth of our non-clinical outreach program,” stated VETMotorsports Executive Director and Founder Peter Cline.
