One Lap With The Champ: Josh Hayes At Road America Cypress, CA June 8, 2012 In celebration of two-time reigning AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike Champion Josh Hayes’ epic double-win at Road America last weekend, Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., has put together a short video of Josh lapping the historic 4.05-mile, 14-turn road course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. “Racing has always been at the core of our company’s DNA,” commented Bob Starr, General Manager, National Communications for Yamaha’s Motorsports Group. “And, with Josh’s dominating performance in both races at Road America this past weekend, we wanted to give our fans an up-close look at Josh’s ‘office.'” You can hear the unique sound of the engine’s crossplane-crankshaft firing order as Josh runs his #1 Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha YZF-R1 through the gears. And, as an added bonus, the video also includes a practice start by Josh. It’s not often that you get to ride along with a two-time defending SuperBike champ, which is why this video is a must-see.
