Video is now available of Roadracingworld.com’s Chris Ulrich giving two-seat racebike rides during a fundraiser held in conjunction with a Fastrack Riders day at California Speedway, in Fontana, California last November. In exchange for cash donations split between continuing rehabilitation of injured former professional racer Vincent Haskovec, (who was paralyzed from the chest down when he crashed into an unpadded barrier during a race in 2005), and the Roadracing World Action Fund, (which is dedicated to reducing racetrack injuries by promoting the use of soft barrier technology), 44 members of the general public were given three-lap rides on the back of Ulrich’s two-seat, 180-plus-horsepower, GSX-R1000 AMA Superstock racebike. For an additional donation, Dan Shaffner, of JT Motorsports On Track Video (www.jtmsr.com, 619-834-8244), followed Ulrich on his camera-equipped racebike, recorded the two-up rides on digital video and gave DVD videos to the riders. Shaffner also donated copies of the videos to Roadracingworld.com and the Roadracing World Action Fund. Here is the video from that event:
