Watch “A Tale Of Two Riders” As The Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Team Presents Its Video Recap Of Miller Motorsports Park Cypress, CA – Josh Herrin may very well look back at Round 6 of the AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike series at Miller Motorsports Park as the turning point in his season, if not his entire racing career. It was in Saturday’s SuperBike Race 1 that Herrin raced his #2 Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha YZF-R1 to his third SuperBike victory of the year and, arguably, the greatest victory of the Georgia rider’s entire motorcycle road racing career. The Race 1 win and a hard-fought third-place finish propelled Herrin to the top of the Championship standings where he now has a nine-point lead with just two rounds and three SuperBike races left to decide who takes the title. Meanwhile, Herrin’s teammate Josh Hayes, who came into the weekend leading the points for an unprecedented fourth-consecutive SuperBike Championship, hit a snag in his title defense with a third-place finish in Race 1, followed by a very uncharacteristic 18th-place finish in Race 2, which was the result of a lowside tipover by the Mississippi Madman on Lap 3. As a result, Hayes now finds himself in third place in the Championship and 16 points behind his teammate Herrin. In this video recap of the past weekend at Miller Motorsports Park, Herrin and Hayes talk about their diametrically opposed fates. You’ll also see some of the on-track action with commentary by legendary CBS Sports Network race announcer Paul Page, witness the Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha SuperBike team hard at work, and catch a couple of glimpses of the Monster Energy Umbrella Girls. More, from another press release issued by Yamaha: Watch A New Episode Of “The Beau’ Show” & “GG TV” As The Yamaha Extended Service/Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Team Presents Its Video Recap Of Miller Motorsports Park Cypress, CA – August 8, 2013 – Y.E.S./Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha teammates Cameron Beaubier and Garrett Gerloff are very close off the track and, this weekend at Miller Motorsports Park, they couldn’t have been any closer on the track, as well. Garrett celebrated his 18th birthday in Utah by serving notice that he is more than ready to challenge 20-year-old Cameron for race wins. And, at one of his favorite tracks on the schedule, Garrett led 10 out of the 16 laps in Saturday’s DSB Race 1. It was a super-close finish for the teammates as Cameron managed to beat Garrett to the checkers by just .174 seconds. And then, “The Beau’ Show” and “Double-G” repeated history in Sunday’s DSB Race 2, with Cameron barely beating Garrett again, this time by just .176 seconds. Along the way, Cameron broke another track record for fastest qualifying lap, and he tied the record for most Daytona SportBike victories in a single season, with nine wins in just ten races so far in 2013. In our video recap, you’ll see Garrett talk about his performance at the front of the pack on both Saturday and Sunday, while Cameron discusses the fun and excitement of racing closely with his teammate. You’ll also see some of the on-track action courtesy of CBS Sports Network, watch the Y.E.S/Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Daytona SportBike team expertly prepping the Yamaha R6s, and meet the Y.E.S. Umbrella Girls. Look for the video recap of the Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha SuperBike team’s weekend at Miller Motorsports Park, as well.
