Y.E.S./Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Rider Garrett Gerloff Recaps His DSB Weekend At Mid-Ohio
Cypress, CA – August 7, 2014 – Garrett Gerloff came into Mid-Ohio and put in two strong performances, all in one day, aboard his #8 Yamaha Extended Service/Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha YZF-R6 as he competed in AMA Pro Road Racing’s highly competitive, cut-and-thrust Daytona SportBike class.
After wet conditions on Saturday at Mid-Ohio forced both DSB races to be run on Sunday, Garrett finished fourth in Race 1, and then he came back strong to finish on the podium in Race 2. The 2.4-mile, 15-turn, natural road course was a challenging one for the young Texan, who just turned 19 years old on August 1, but Garrett and his expert crew worked hard on his bike’s setup, and the team left Mid-Ohio with two top-five finishes. They’ll be back in action in a few weeks at New Jersey Motorsports Park, which is one of Garrett’s favorite tracks and the site of his professional road racing debut victory back in 2011.
