The 5th Annual AHRMA Vintage Motorcycle Festival & Swap Meet returns to New Jersey Motorsports Park July 14-16

60,000 square foot swap meet, Vintage Bike Show, Pinup Contest and music will fill Thunderbolt Raceway paddock!

MILLVILLE, NJ – The American Historic Motorcycle Racing Association (AHRMA) returns to New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) July 14-16 for the 5th Annual AHRMA Vintage Motorcycle Festival & Swap Meet. AHRMA will bring North America’s largest tour of vintage and modern alternative racing motorcycles to Thunderbolt Raceway. The AHRMA riders will put on an impressive show with over 350 entries registered to race in various classes throughout the weekend.

AHRMA, which traces its roots to the late 1970’s, offers vintage national and regional road racing, motocross, dirt track, observed trials and cross-country competition. The vintage machines featured in the association’s events span a full 50 years, from the 1920s to the early 90s. AHRMA Road Racing also features “modern” alternative classes for single, twin, and three-cylinder machines.

eMotoRacing Varsity Challenge 2017: The 4th Annual “Varsity Challenge” by eMotoRacing will take place during the annual AHRMA Festival on NJMP’s Thunderbolt race course. Six major university teams from the USA and Canada are expected to compete in high speed electric motorcycle racing competition. Woodcraft Technologies, a major American purveyor of road racing gear, has once again offered a $1,000 scholarship to the highest placing collegiate team. Racers piloting these ground-breaking machines include an Isle of Man TT veteran, a Canadian Superbike pro, former AMA pros, and AHRMA veterans. Friday, July 14, will be a full practice day, with the first of two rounds of racing on Saturday afternoon. The second round will take place on Sunday, July 16.

In addition to on-track action, fans can enjoy all the family-friendly festival elements during this three-day event including Burgers, Brew and Que’, offering a traditional summertime BBQ featuring great food, cold beer, tailgate games and music, and a free Bike Night at the Finish Line Pub on Friday, July 14, offering free parade laps on Thunderbolt Raceway for show participants.

New for 2017, NJMP is proud to announce its partnership with Laroque Motorsports, who will be adding a unique vintage festival air to this year’s event. Activities and events provided by Laroque Motorsports includes:

60,000-square foot Swap Meet: Vintage motorcycle collectors and enthusiasts will have the opportunity to browse the 60,000-sq. ft. swap meet in pursuit of that rare part or memorabilia to complete their restoration or add to their collection.

The Speed-N- Chrome Vintage Motorcycle Show: The show will feature bikes of all makes and styles judged on their uniqueness, condition and rarity. Motorcycle entry fees for the contest are $10 for the first bike and $5 for each additional entry. Sign up starts at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 15 in the swap meet area. There will be trophies and prizes awarded for the top three entries in each category at 4:00 p.m.

The Miss New Jersey Vintage Pinup Contest: Contestants will compete for cash, prizes, and the honor of being crowned “Miss New Jersey Vintage 2017.” Contestants will be judged on beauty, poise, class and style. The theme is vintage 1920’s-1960’s to compliment the vintage motorcycle theme of the weekend. The entry fee is just $10 and awards will be given to the top three contestants.
