VP RACING FEEDS POWER OBSESSION WITH NEW MOTORCYCLE BLEND SAN ANTONIO, TX (December 11, 2006) In its never ending quest to squeeze more power from hydrocarbon molecules, VP Racing Fuels has introduced “MR 10,” its newest fuel for 4-stroke road racing. “MR10 is engineered to generate the most horsepower within the parameters of AMA Pro Racing leaded fuel rules, and it really delivers,” said Bruce Hendel, VP’s Global Sales Manager. “In 1000cc bikes, dyno tests have proven up to a 2 horsepower increase over VP’s MR9, which was previously acknowledged to make the most power of any motorcycle fuel on the market. Tests also proved a one horsepower increase for 600cc bikes. This translates to as much as a 10% increase in power over pump gas.” MR10 has proved out on the track as well, with several factory teams using it in their quest for titles this season. In fact, MR10 helped power Team Suzuki’s Ben Spies and Mat Mladin to a 1-2 finish in AMA Superbike, while Josh Hayes used it to take the AMA Formula Extreme title. “It’s not just B.S. when we say MR10 is laboratory tested and track proven,” asserted Hendel. “Results like these confirm nothing on the market makes more power than MR10.” Because its octane rating is lower than MR9’s, MR10 may not be suitable for higher compression applications. For these applications, Hendel advised MR9 is still the fuel of choice, as evidenced by the AMA Superstock and Supersport titles won this season by Jamie Hacking with MR9 in his tank. VP’s R&D group has been prolific over the years, developing more than 60 fuel blends for applications across all of motorsports. “MR10 is just the latest example of our commitment to stay ahead of the competition with constant innovation,” Hendel concluded. Since 1975, VP Racing has fueled champions in virtually every racing category and class. VP’s fuels have earned a reputation for superior power and consistency as illustrated by its sweep of championships in all Pro classes of AMA Supercross, Motocross and Superbike from 2004 through 2006.
