More, from a press release issued by South Central Race Center:

South Central Race Center-sponsored racer Derek Wagnon raced a Suzuki 750 and a Kawasaki ZX-10R to 4 wins, winning every race he entered August 24 at MotorSport Ranch, in Cresson, Texas. Sunday started with the 2nd race of the day on his P1 Racing-tuned GSX-R750. Derek promptly set the lap record on his 750 fitted with standard Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa DOT tires, gapping the field and setting the tone for the rest of the day. By race 9, the Formula 1 race, the track had started to get really hot and lose some grip. The JRI shock-fitted Kawasaki ZX-10R was shod with standard Diablo Superbike slicks, SC2 front compound and SC0 rear compound. On the second lap of the race Derek put his head down and set the lap record again to a 1:13.722. While continuing to race in the 1:14’s for the 10-lap event. Wagnon went on to win B Superbike and A Superbike to finish out the day.

South Central Race Center is the regional supplier for Pirelli race tires. Owner John Hutchinson was quoted as “I’m very proud of what Derek has been able to do thus far this season. This is our third track record this season and I anticipate Derek has his sights on a few more. The Pirelli product we have now is just amazing in terms of grip and durability. Offering confidence to push harder than ever before.” SCRC can be contacted at www.scracecenter.com
