WERA WILL CANCEL GINGERMAN EVENT MAY 28/29 WERA Motorcycle Roadracing is canceling the upcoming round of the Pirelli/WERA North Central Sportsman Series scheduled for Gingerman Raceway on May 28/29. There is a perfect storm raging between too many motorcycle events at tracks, the economy and gasoline pricing right now which have had a direct impact on the business of motorcycle roadracing and when Mother Nature is thrown in that mix the perfect storm has developed. We truly pray this will not become something we need to continue to do in the future, but with shrinking profits and losses due to the bad weather events, there is no cushion so any event that has under 25 pre-entered riders two weeks prior to the event will be reviewed and may be on the chopping block for the future. We apologize to all those riders who support WERA Motorcycle Roadracing and those who have made plans to attend, but unfortunately with the expenses involved for an event we can’t put on a race for so few participants at this time. Our goal and intention is to be here for motorcycle roadracers who have a passion and a dream and in an effort to meet that goal we have to make these hard decisions. Upcoming events: Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series at Jennings GP May 21/22; Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series at Summit Point and at Roebling Road June 4/5; Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series at Talladega GP June 11/12; Michelin National Challenge and Pirelli/WERA West Sportsman Series presented by Lucas Oil at Miller Motorsports Park hosting USBA on May 18/19 and also May 18/19 Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series at Beaverun in PA, then the month of June ends with the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series at Road Atlanta in Braselton, GA on the 24th 25th and 26th!
