EXCITEMENT IS BUILDING FOR WERA AT BARBER THE 4TH AND 5TH OF JULY WEEKEND!

The upcoming event over the July 4th weekend at Barber Motorsports Park will have something for everyone.  The 2nd Annual Concours de Competition et D’Elegance will occupy the top tier of the paddock with some of the most exotic and historical machines some of which will take to the track in the “Go Class”.

We are happy to introduce our Grand Marshall for the event and welcome back to WERA Motorcycle Roadracing Malcome Tunstall.  WERA Motorcycle Roadracing, the Founder of the Concours Ron Raven, their Vintage Board (Ron Raven, Mitch Cato and Jim Hinshaw) and a host of other VIP Vintage Folks will present you with a great ride/walk down memory lane.  This event also has the support of the Barber Vintage Museum which will be open for the first time over the 4th of July weekend so you can see motorcycle history at its best!

On July 4 and 5 modern enthusiasts can see the riders of the WERA Sportsman Series take to the track for some great competition.  The WERA Sprint races will feature the Pit Bull C Superstock Class and the A Superbike and C Superbike Classes will have qualifying for grid positions based on their second round of practice times.  There will be a Rider’s School on Saturday for anyone interested in making the leap off the street to the track and experiencing the exhilaration of racing to a checker flag!

Credentials will be available at the front gate.  No Dogs in the paddock!  Camping is available and due to Covid-19 we ask that you practice social distancing, wash hands often, use your own pen and, if you prefer, wear a mask while on property.  WERA will have hand sanitizer at Registration and Tech and we will have a small supply of masks if anyone would like one.

WERA Motorcycle Roadracing was founded in 1973 and remains the foremost place to develop talent in the sport of motorcycle Roadracing.  The legacy of Pro riders on a National and World level is legendary.  All events are run by WERA Motorcycle Roadracing with a co-sanction by the AMA and they go coast to coast offering entry level racing with the WERA Sportsman Series as well as a Pro-Am Series with the WERA National Challenge Series, WERA Motorcycle Roadracing also offer Vintage Racing and limited Endurance Racing with Track Day Partners N2 .  WERA Motorcycle Roadracing was voted the 2017 AMA Track Organizer of the Year.
