AUGUSTA, Ga.””Despite a long break between WERA National Endurance Series rounds, TVR/EBC Brakes Yamaha has been staying busy the past few weeks thanks to a number of events in the team’s hometown of Augusta, Georgia. Team owner Chuck Ivey organized a bike night last Thursday, which TVR hosted with Hooters of Augusta. More than 100 riders turned out to socialize and check out the TVR Yamaha YZF-R1 and R6, kicking off the warm-weather riding season in force. On Saturday, TVR/EBC Brakes Yamaha participated in Augusta’s Armed Forces Day celebrations. Thousands of people descended on downtown Augusta to pay tribute to the men and women in uniform. In addition to being treated to fireworks and entertainment, everyone got to check out the TVR R1 and R6, and get an autographed team poster. Fans will have even more opportunities to meet TVR’s riders and see the race bikes as the season continues. In addition to their normal on-track activities during this weekend’s WERA Endurance race at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah, TVR is hosting a meet and greet at the nearby Applebee’s in Tooele on Friday evening. In June, you can join the team for an AIDS awareness charity ride hosted by a local motorcycle club. Keep up with the team’s appearances and check out more pictures online at www.TeamVelocityRacing.com.
