WERA Motorcycle Roadracing will introduce a new program for new riders if you take your Rider’s School at a WERA event you will get a complimentary transponder to use for the weekend. You will receive this benefit while you complete your two required weekends to gain your Novice Status with WERA Motorcycle Roadracing. For May the WERA events will be on May 7/8 at Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds, AL. This Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Regional will host the opening round of the Formula Green Class. This is a spec class, promoted by the Green Racing Aliance and it will have a year end point fund pay-out. The rules will be Formula One based with spec BioWeapon Fuel, Green Oil and Knee sliders required. Then on May 14/15 the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series moves into Grattan Raceway in Grattan, Michigan. The track has been repaved and promises to provide some really good racing. May 21/22 will find the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series at Jennings GP in Jennings, FL and on May 28/29 a long anticipated return for the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series to Gingerman Raceway in South Haven, Michigan. Come on out and catch some action at these Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Events in May! There has been a date change in the Pirelli/WERA West Series presented by Lucas Oil the November 12/13 event on the Classic Course at Las Vegas Motorspeedway has been moved to October 1 and 2 for 2011.
