The WERA Motorcycle Roadracing Pirelli Sportsman Series will be at Jennings GP in Jennings, FL on March 7/8. Then the 2009 WERA National Series kicks off at Roebling Road Raceway in Faulkville, GA with Round #1 of the Bridgestone/WERA Endurance on Saturday and the Michelin/WERA National Sprints on Sunday normal WERA practice day on Friday. The Pirelli Sportsman Series moves to picturesque Virginia International Raceway with a thee-day event on March 20/21/22 WERA practice on Friday, Vintage and Solo Racing on Saturday and Pirelli Sportsman Sprints on Sunday. The following weekend, March 27/28/29, has Round #2 of the WERA National Series with the Bridgestone/WERA Endurance and Michelin/WERA National Sprints at Talladega Gran Prix in Alabama. This year’s National Series will see some new teams in the Bridgestone/WERA National Endurance Series, as well as some of the old guard coming back to defend their championships. The Michelin/WERA National Sprints will see some very talented riders with the likes of last year’s champions, Robert Jensen, Tray Batey, Tim Hunt, Jimmy Merck, Chris Parrish, Brett Sassaman and his brother Payton, father and son team, Dane and Tryg Westby and returning riders like Matt Lynn, Brian Stokes, Opie Caylor and Lee Acree. The competition should be the best in sometime for 2009. Three-day tickets are $30.00; two-day are $20.00 and Sunday only is $15.00. Camping is available at all these March venues.
