WERA WEEKEND LAUNCHES SERIES OF MOTORCYCLE EVENTS AT BARBER MOTORSPORTS PARK Birmingham, Ala. – This weekend’s Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series Southeast Regional event kicks off a series of four spectator motorcycle events to be held at Barber Motorsports Park over the next six months. In addition to WERA, the 2013 motorcycle season includes the Triumph Superbike Classic presented by America’s First Federal Credit Union June 21-23 followed by the famous Barber Vintage Festival presented by the Triumph Dealers of North America Oct. 11 -13. The season concludes with the return of WERA Oct. 25-27 for the Grand National Finals to wrap up the season and public events at the track for the year. “Barber is the premier track for motorcycle events in the south,” said Rick Humphrey, vice president of ZOOM Motorsports, the exclusive promoter at Barber Motorsports Park. “We are excited to have all of these groups come out and enjoy the unique course layout and the beauty of the park, while showing the spectators what these bikes can do on a track built for motorcycles. It’s even better that you can get access to all of these events with one pass. If you like bikes, it’s a great way to make sure you don’t miss a single lap.” Admission to all four of these events is available with the Motorcycle Super Saver ticket package for only $130. A $200 value, this package includes General Admission and Paddock access for each motorcycle event at Barber Motorsports Park. Purchasers will also receive one Sunday Parade Lap during the Triumph Superbike Classic. The Motorcycle Super Saver package can be purchased for $130 by going online to www.barbermotorsports.com. This weekend’s WERA event will feature 29 different races beginning with Solo and Vintage racing Saturday afternoon and WERA Sportsman Series on Sunday.
