James Randolph took top honors in the Formula 1 main event at the May 10 WERA West event at Buttonwillow Raceway Park, and backed it up with a win in the A Superstock race.

In the Formula 1 race, Randolph rode his Pirelli-shod, Kyle Racing-backed Suzuki GSX-R1000 to a 3.605-second win over Brant Wiwi, riding a West Coast GP Cycles-prepped, Pirelli-shod Kawasaki ZX-10R. Jeffrey Havlik was third, his Dunlop-shod, Santa Barbara Motorsports-backed Suzuki GSX-R1000 less than three-10ths of a second behind Wiwi at the checkered flag.

In A Superstock, Randolph remained on the top step of the podium, 4.222 seconds ahead of Havlik, who beat Wiwi to the line by 2.184 seconds. Havlik would win the A Superbike race by more than seven seconds over Eddie Barajas and Harley Barnes, and Wiwi would take second in C Superstock and C Superbike on his Kawasaki ZX-6R.

Jimmy Wood took his Pirelli-shod, CCCI-backed Kawasaki ZX-6R to a clear win in C Superbike, while Bryce Prince took the C Superstock win on his Michelin-shod Kawasaki ZX-6R. Prince also took the Mediumweight Solo 20 endurance race win on Saturday afternoon by more than 47 seconds over Robert Tinagero and his G&B Cycle Pro-backed Kawasaki ZX-6R.

Chase McFarland took his Bridgestone-shod Suzuki SV650 to a trio of wins in Heavyweight Twins Superbike, Formula 2 and Lightweight Twins Superbike, while Lex Hartl beat Bennie Taylor and Andre Ochs to the line in 125cc GP competition.
