Willow Springs and Fastrack Riders Affirm 2002 Dates

Willow Springs International Motorsports Park management and Fastrack Riders recently finalized a schedule for 2002 that includes an unprecedented 30 dates at the historic motorsports park.

Because of concerns that the Fridays prior to Willow Springs Motorcycle Club races might not be on the Fastrack Riders 2002 schedule, Willow Springs Raceway owner Bill Huth made arrangements to ensure those dates would be dedicated to WSMC members and those interested in becoming better acquainted with the raceway and its motorcycling programs. Details of the tentative plan were provided in a previous press release, which outlined a program targeting new riders as well as experienced racers. Now that the Fastrack Riders dates have been confirmed, that plan is no longer necessary.

“My main concern is always that we have the very best instruction available to our riders,” said track owner Bill Huth. “We have some of the best schools in the world out here – Keith Code, Reggie Pridmore, Fastrack Riders, and the WSMC New Racer School are among the top groups that use this facility. I just wanted to be sure we had something in place for our riders on those Fridays that would measure up to our regular programs. Now that we’ve confirmed Tom [Sera]’s dates, that’s no longer a problem.”

WSMC events run on the third Sunday of each month. Fastrack Riders events will run on the Friday prior to those weekends, as well as other selected dates.
