Moneta, Virginia Couple Grand Prize Winners in Mast Farm Inn/Club Ferdinand Drawing MONETA, VA. – The lucky couple of Jamie and Heather Weston from Moneta, Virginia have won the use of a new Porsche and lodging at the Mast Farm Inn for this year’s AMA Suzuki Big Kahuna Superbike National races at VIRginia International Raceway. “Neither of us has ever won anything like this before,” said an elated Heather recently. “This is the biggest thing that either of us has won,” she added. “I entered pretty much as a shot in the dark. We splurge on the Big Kahuna every year.” “This is amazing,” her husband said. Weston explained that she got a telephone call from race promoter Cameron Gray and told her husband: “we must have won something, but I can’t remember what it was.” She said that Jamie’s jaw dropped when they called Gray and found out that the prize includes lodging at the famed Mast Farm Inn’s Loomhouse Cottage and use of a new Porsche Cayman S for the weekend. “Porsche is his dream car,” said Heather of her husband’s reaction. The young couple will be taking advantage of their good fortune later, as their plans for the week have already been set. Besides the change in schedule, “we have our two-year-old daughter and she won’t fit in the Porsche. We’re going to get grandmother to baby-sit for us when we take the prize,” report the happy Westons. Famed for its multi-faceted accommodations and scenic beauty, the Valle Crucis, N.C. Mast Farm Inn, located just a few minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, will provide lodging on Thursday night before the event, a Porsche for the drive to the track and back, and lodging again Sunday evening before the lucky guests’ return home after VIRginia International Raceway’s summer keynote event, the AMA Superbike races. Learn more about the Inn at www.mastfarminn.com. Club Ferdinand, provider of the Porsches used by the lucky winners, is the first exotic car sharing pool in the world and specializes strictly in Porsches. The Big Kahuna National is a full weekend of AMA Superbike racing at VIRginia International Raceway’s North Course, the 2.25-mile natural terrain race track just minutes east of Danville, Virginia. With a three-day slate of practice, qualifying and a complete schedule of races both Saturday and Sunday, the Big Kahuna brings some of the world’s best motorcycle road racers to compete.
