Xavier Siméon will take part in the “Race of Champions” taking the place of the injured Chaz Davies

Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy), 18 July 2018 – Xavier Siméon, MotoGP rider with the Reale Avintia Racing Team, will be among the twelve riders taking part in the “Race of Champions” challenge on Saturday 21 July at 1pm at the “Marco Simoncelli” Misano World Circuit during WDW 2018.

The Belgian rider will take the place of the rider of the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati team, Chaz Davies, who sustained an injury yesterday during training by mountain bike. The resulting broken right collar bone means he is unable to take part in the race with the Panigale V4 S. Despite the injury, Chaz has confirmed that he will be present on both Saturday and Sunday at the 2018 World Ducati Week and he’ll be ready to meet the fans and enthusiasts.

The special livery of the Panigale V4 S due to be ridden by Xavier Siméon has the number thirteen, the total number of motorcycles created for the occasion with dedicated graphics for each individual rider. All of the motorcycles can be bought by fans and enthusiasts by means of a public auction on eBay, including the Panigale V4 S made for Chaz with the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati SBK team colours and personalised with the number 7 which, unfortunately will not take part in the race.

The public auction on eBay will kick off on Saturday 21 July at 6pm and continue until being closed to offers, on Saturday 28 July also at 6pm. eBay, one of the largest and most dynamic online markets of all, has dedicated a Ducati Store with the “Race of Champions” theme to this special sale.
