Chaz Davies, who is slated to race for Team Go Eleven on a factory-spec Ducati Panigale V4 R in the 2021 FIM Superbike World Championship, has tested positive for COVID-19.

The news came out earlier today in a press release issued by series organizers. The release stated that Ducati test rider Michelle Pirro was riding in place of Davies during the World Superbike test today at Misano World Circuit “after the Welshman tested positive for COVID-19.”

Davies has not made any statements via his social media channels and did not respond to Roadracingworld.com’s attempts to contact him prior to post time.
