Michele Pirro will replace Leon Camier in the two-days test at Jerez

Jerez de la Frontera (SPA) 27th November 2019. Following a crash during the 2nd day of testing at the Aragon circuit on 14th November the Barni Racing Team rider Leon Camier picked up fractures to his left wrist and shoulder. Both are expected to heal naturally without the need of an operation. As a pre-caution Leon will not test in Jerez this week and is expected to recover quickly with no concerns for the upcoming January tests. However the Barni Racing Team won’t miss the two-days test. The team lead by Marco Barnabò will continue the development program of the Ducati Panigale V4 R as scheduled with the aid of Michele Pirro. The Ducati MotoGP tester is familiar with the Barni Racing Team being the rider in the Italian Superbike Championship.

«I’m a little bit disappointed because Leon need to improve the feeling with the bike, but his physical conditions is the the most important thing. That’s why we decided, by common agreement, not to take risks. However we have already planned to test new components on the bike and for this reason we decided to be on track with Michele, a rider we are very familiar with and extremely sensitive in riding. I think he can show us the right way to develop the bike for Leon».
