Ondrej Vostatek joins PTR Triumph for remainder of 2023

PTR Triumph are pleased to reveal that they will have a new line up from the Magny-Cours round of the 2023 FIM Supersport World Championship as Czech rider Ondrej Vostatek steps in for Harry Truelove to complete the season.

Just turned 19-years-old, the Prague born youngster developed his career in Spain competing in the European Talent Cup as well as the FIM CEV Moto3 and STK600.  A six-race deal in the 2021 World Supersport Championship led to a full-time campaign in 2022 which saw the teenager consistently finishing strongly in the points and also scoring a couple of top ten finishes at Estoril in Portugal.

Vostatek has in fact already ridden with the PTR Triumph team having substituted for the injured Truelove at the Autodrom Most last month where he showed great potential and understanding of the Triumph machine.

Ondrej Vostatek: “I’m really happy that I get a chance like this to continue with PTR Triumph for the rest of the season.  I’m excited and I will put in maximum effort to make a best result.”

PTR Triumph Team Manager Simon Buckmaster: “We are pleased that Ondrej Vostatek will join us for the rest of the season.  He showed great promise as a substitute rider at Most when Harry Truelove was injured and we are optimistic he can show us what he can do.  We had a meeting at Horice in the Czech Republic last week and signed the deal for him to test with us at Aragon and do the last four rounds.  We are looking forward to working with Ondrej, he is young at just 19 years old and has great potential. We want to work as best we can as a team to realise that potential and we are looking forward to getting started.”
