Yamaha Previews bLU cRU Road Racing And Fan Activities Scheduled For Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix
Cypress, CA – August 4, 2015 – This weekend, the Yamaha bLU cRU road racing teams will join the stars of MotoGP for the very first time at Indianapolis Motor Speedway as they compete in the penultimate round of the 2015 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship.
Tied atop the MotoAmerica Superbike points standings are Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha teammates Josh Hayes and Cameron Beaubier, who together have won all 14 Superbike races this season. Josh, the four-time and defending AMA Superbike Champion, has won eight races thus far, while Cameron has notched six victories.
MotoAmerica Superbike Superpole (Qualifying) begins at Indy on Friday, August 7, at 4:50 PM EST. Superbike Race 1 will go green on Saturday, August 8, at 5:00 PM EST, and Superbike Race 2 is set for Sunday, August 9, at 3:30 PM EST.
Yamalube/Y.E.S./Graves/Yamaha: Beach & Gerloff
On World Superbike Weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca a couple of weekends ago, JD Beach notched his eighth MotoAmerica Supersport victory of the season and his sixth race win in the row. The popular Kentuckian will try to keep his string going by winning Saturday’s Supersport race at Indy. Meanwhile, JD’s Yamalube/Y.E.S./Graves/Yamaha teammate Garrett Gerloff will try to stem the tide and put his #31 Yamaha YZF-R6 in the winner’s circle with his second victory of the 2015 season.
MotoAmerica Supersport Qualifying is on Friday, August 7, at 4:05 PM EST, and the Supersport Race is scheduled to start on Saturday, August 8, at 4:15 PM EST.

Your favorite Yamaha bLU cRU riders, including Josh, Cameron, JD, and Garrett, will all be available for autographs during two “Meet & Greet” sessions, and the Monster Energy and Yamalube Umbrella Girls will also be there:

Visit The Yamaha Display Area
Located in the Speedway Infield between turns 9 and 10 of the MotoGP road course, the Yamaha Display Area will be open Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Yamaha and Yamaha Racing apparel and merchandise, as well as limited-edition Yamaha 60th Anniversary yellow-and-black apparel, will be available for purchase.
Learn To Ride With Yamaha
A favorite for kids and parents alike, Yamaha’s Learn-To-Ride Program gives children under the age of 12 the opportunity to try out a TT-R50 and TT-R110 in a controlled environment, complete with instruction and supervision by American Supercamp’s expert team. Riders of all abilities are encouraged to experience the TT-Rs with their class-leading features such as electric start, automatic-clutch transmissions, and YZ styling. The TT-R Demos will take place Friday through Sunday from 9 AM to 4 PM at the Yamaha Display. Full safety gear is provided, and all riders will receive a complimentary digital photo of their experience.

Meet Colin Edwards At The Yamaha Display Area, And Then See Him On Track
The Texas Tornado will host a Meet & Greet appearance on Saturday at 5:30 PM in the Yamaha Display Area at the Speedway, and rumor has it that he may be bringing along his T-shirt Cannon, too! Then, on Sunday at 10:20 AM, Colin will lap the 16-turn, 2.591-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course aboard a special Yamaha YZR-M1 featuring yellow-and-black, 60th Anniversary livery.
Try Out Some Yamaha Musical Instruments
Yamaha Music (established in 1887) and Yamaha Motor (established in 1955) not only share a name, they also share a passion for developing innovative, inspirational products that enhance the quality of life the world over. To help celebrate Yamaha Motor’s 60th Anniversary, Yamaha Music will have a selection of Yamaha electric guitars, drums, and keyboards on hand for race fans to enjoy in the Yamaha Display Area at Indy.
Learn “Champion’s Habits” From The Yamaha Champions Riding School
Instructor Nick Ienatsch and his YCRS staff will be conducting special seminars throughout the race weekend in the Yamaha Display Area. Their presentation, titled “Champion’s Habits,” can help every level of rider improve their skills both on the track and the street (check the schedules posted in the Yamaha Display Area for presentation times).
Other attractions in the Yamaha Display Area include the Star Bolt Ride Simulator, a live Music DJ, and Free Yamaha Commemorative Visors will be given away at selected times each day (check the schedules posted in the Yamaha Display Area for giveaway times).
