Millville, NJ: The Yamaha Champions Riding School has been spreading its wings in 2016 and the boys and girls in the beautiful mountains of New York State are the next group to raise their hands and request Champions Habits.

As a result YCRS will be hosting a two-day ChampSchool at New York Safety Track on August 15-16, 2016. “Bill Sink of EvolveGT Track Days came to us a month ago and said the riders at NYST “want some YCRS” but don’t want to leave their beautiful home in the mountains. So as we’ve done in Arizona and Colorado, we’ll take the show on the road to this great track,” said Chris Peris of YCRS.

“It’s exciting to have YCRS come to New York Safety Track. We’ve had requests about it for the past 2 years since this track is so technical and people want to understand how to ride it. We love seeing riders of every skill level already signing up and we look forward to this being an incredible and rare learning experience.” says Greg Lubinitsky, general manager of NYST.

As always, Champions Habits will be the curriculum, teaching riders the techniques the best riders in the world practice to go fast while staying safe. These habits will be taught using specific drills developed over the last 19 years, mixed with pointed lectures, open lapping and at-speed demonstrations. The two-day ChampSchool will include van lapping where students can pick the brain of a pro as they circulate the road course, plus video review so each student sees themselves, gets critiqued, and can fully understand what they are doing and need to do in order to be faster AND safer. And yes, we’ll have our FZ1s there for two-up laps!

Street riders will make up over half our student body, so don’t let the “racetrack” make you believe we’re a racing school. Yes, we have racers and track-day riders, but our curriculum aims to improve all riders regardless of bike or environment. We don’t care what or where you ride, we care HOW you ride.

Details about YCRS, Champions Habits, and registration can be viewed online at www.ridelikeachampion.com or www.champschool.com . Riders wishing to learn more about the program can email [email protected] or call 855-RIDEYCRS.
