Millville, NJ – September 11, 2015 – Upwards of 300 Yamaha bLU cRU road racers, crew members, families, friends, and MotoAmerica staff members and dignitaries gathered in the Officers’ Club at New Jersey Motorsports Park on Thursday night to celebrate Yamaha’s most dominant and successful U.S. road racing season in its 60-year history.

“Yamaha road racing has had an amazing year in this inaugural MotoAmerica season,” commented Keith McCarty, Motorsports Racing Division Manager for Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., and Master of Ceremonies for the celebration. “Our bLU cRU riders have already won the Championships in Superstock 600 and Supersport, and the Superstock 1000 and Superbike crowns will also go to Yamaha riders on Sunday. So, we will sweep all four classes in which Yamaha riders are eligible to compete. That’s a perfect year, and we wanted to show our appreciation by getting together all the bLU cRU riders, teams, and guests to thank them for their hard work and honor them for their success. We also wanted to thank Wayne Rainey, Richard Varner, the KRAVE Group, and MotoAmerica for this fantastic first year that they’ve had. We’re excited about the future of U.S. road racing.”

Receiving Championship banners during the festivities were Wheels In Motion/MotoSport.com/Meen Yamaha Superstock 600 Champion Joe Roberts and Yamalube/Y.E.S./Graves/Yamaha Supersport Champion JD Beach. In addition, Keith brought Superstock 1000 Championship contenders Jake Gagne from RoadRace Factory/Yamaha and Taylor Knapp from TOBC racing up on the stage to talk about the Championship that will be decided between the two riders at NJMP this weekend.

And then, the two Superbike Championship contenders, Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha teammates Josh Hayes and Cameron Beaubier, took the stage to discuss their friendly, but fierce, rivalry that will be decided on Sunday. “I’m going to win both races,” four-time and defending Champion Josh declared to the highly amused audience. “Whatever Cameron does is up to him, but I’m going to win!” Cameron smiled politely and showed that he is clearly ready to decide things on the racetrack, no matter what Josh said.
