Yamaha Introduces 2017 Bolt and Bolt R-Spec Models

Cypress, CA – June 8, 2016 – Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., today introduced its 2017 Bolt and Bolt R-Spec cruiser motorcycles.

Exemplifying the stripped-down “Urban Bobber” look, the compact chassis on the Bolt and Bolt R-Spec proudly showcase the 58-cubic-inch (942cc), air-cooled, 60° V-twin engine sitting at the heart of each bike. The Bolt’s iconic style and performance have drawn enthusiastic praise from both customers and the motorcycling press.

For 2017, the Bolt features a new flangeless fuel-tank design that delivers an even cleaner look, while new wire-spoked, aluminum rims strike a stylish new pose on the standard Bolt.

The 2017 Bolt R-Spec adds a “Performance Bobber” attitude to the standard Bolt, with the addition of external-reservoir rear shocks, different colors and graphics, and a suede-type seat with contrasting stitching.

The 2017 Bolt will be available in Raven, and Bolt R-Spec will be available in two color options: Crimson Red and Silver Shadow. The Bolt will retail for $7,999, and the Bolt R-Spec is priced at $8,399. The Bolt will be available in Yamaha dealerships beginning in August, and the Bolt RSpec in July.
