Yamaha’s McCarty To Be Honored During Legends & Heroes 2014 40th Anniversary Of Supercross Tour Feb. 1 In Anaheim, California

The Legend and Heroes Tour will honor Yamaha’s World Renowned Keith McCarty as part of the Legends & Heroes 2014 40th Anniversary of Supercross Tour at A-3.

January 31, 2014 – Manlius, NY: The Legends and Heroes Tour has been a mainstay of the Monster Energy Supercross series for the past four years, and has once again hit the road for its fifth year while celebrating the 40th anniversary of Supercross.

The Legends and Heroes Tour launched its’ new 2014 program during the opening round of the Monster Energy Supercross at the Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA. The industry’s first digital media mobile Moto Museum experience, with a new museum design, is part of the Moto Museum’s 100’ plus foot print, which is part of the Monster Energy Supercross “Party in the Pits”. The display includes period champion machines and historical paraphernalia. Inside is a state of the art digital showcase sporting the history of Supercross via a video wall for a full audio-visual theater experience.

The Legends and Heroes Supercross Tour’s next stop is back at the Angel Stadium in Anaheim this weekend. This third So Cal stop will honor Yamaha’s Keith McCarty. Well known in the early days of Motocross and Supercross, McCarty was responsible for helping pilot Bob Hannah as the first “Triple Crown” winner of Supercross. Keith and his team gained national recognition as the first manufacturer to win three Supercross titles in a row. Hannah piloted the YZ’s to championship heights from 1977, 1978 and 1979.

Mr. McCarty will be at the Legends and Heroes Moto Museum display at A-3 this Saturday, February 1st at 3:00pm for a “Meet and Greet” with the fans. Later in the day, Keith will be honored on the Monster Energy podium and presented with the Legend and Heroes 40th Anniversary of Supercross award.
