CHICAGO (February 26, 2009) Michael Jordan Motorsports is pleased to announce that Aaron Yates will pilot the Jordan Suzuki American Superbike entry featuring the legendary #23 of team owner Michael Jordan’s unmatched NBA playing career. Geoff May will pilot the #54 National Guard Jordan Suzuki American Superbike entry, paying homage to the 50 states and 4 territories that the National Guard serves. “These two numbers are incredible symbols of dedication, innovation and honor,” said Kreig Robinson, MJM Director of Business Development. “There is considerable meaning behind each number. Michael Jordan’s number 23 is associated with his great achievements on the basketball court, while the Guard’s number is a reminder of the commitment that soldiers make every day.” Michael Jordan Motorsports will field two separate teams in the 2009 AMA Pro Racing American Superbike series, adding an additional transporter and crew for the #54 National Guard Jordan Suzuki team, following the multi-team format popular with top NASCAR organizations.
