Italian Nico Vivarelli brings his MotoGP 125cc and Superstock 1000 FIM Cup experience to the Daytona 200. In what has become one of the most famous motorcycle racing events in the world, the Daytona 200 brings in top talent from around the globe. On March 9th the 26 year old Italian rider Nico Vivarelli will board a plane for the United States and on March 11th he’ll be testing his APEX Race services R6 at the Palm Beach International raceway for the first time. Nico is able to make the trip thanks to an amazing group of sponsors; Katra, Vemar Helmets, Tuttauto Davitti, Gelateria Paradise, Athlon Club and Mau Design. This is a thrilling venture for the Italian rider who after years of trying will finally race in the Daytona 200. In 2005 and 2006 Vivarelli landed Wild Card rides in the MotoGP 125 class, in 2009 he participated in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup where he started the season on a Honda CBR1000RR but ended the season on KTM RC8. His best finish in 2009 was 19th at Misano but in 2010 he improved by finishing 10th in the Grand Prix of Italy at Imola. For the last 10 years he’s been a professional rider and Nico will arrive in Daytona Beach Florida with more International racing experience than most of his competitors. Will this experience give him the advantage he needs over the competition and get Nico within reaching distance of the Dayton 200 podium? They’re solid mechanics, and we are confident in our rider and team.” The world will get their first glimpse of the Italian Nico Vivarelli in an AMA event on March 15th as practice sessions start in Daytona. On March 16th at 8:45am the first qualifying session will begin, and the second qualifying session starts at 1:10pm. Of course this all leads up to the green flag dropping at 1:00pm on Saturday March 17th where Nico Vivarelli, Apex Race Services and the world will see what this Italian can do with a motorcycle at the legendary Daytona 200.
