Edie Prepared for National Superbike Debut at Round One of Mopar CSBK Nationals Coming off of a successful 2011 season, winning CSBK’s Pro Rookie of the Year honours and finishing fourth in the Pro Sportbike championship points race, 16 year old Bodhi Edie is ready for a new challenge. “Riding a Superbike is the only viable option, particularly, riding it well, and we decided the BMW superbike was the best tool for me to do that,” says Edie, from his home in Warman, Saskatchewan. “I’ve been riding year round and training very hard and have been able to get the new bike out to a couple of regional track days out west here, as well as one regional race with the Edmonton Motorcycle Roadracing Association, and I am happy with the steps I have made in my game. The BMW is really easy to ride, it feels small and nimble, a lot like a 600, but with way more power. Pretty fun!” “I’ve grown up riding motocross on a nasty sand track near Saskatoon, and the lessons I have learned there have made adapting to the Superbike an easy transition. I’m really looking forward to getting on it at Shannonville, which is a track I’ve had good results at in the past, and I accept the challenge of facing Canada’s best roadracers on their own stomping ground.” Edie Racing spent the off-season looking to put together the sponsorship required to compete from Western Canada in the Mopar CSBK national series. “Although we weren’t able to secure a great deal of sponsorship,” says Edie, “we are pleased to have the best sponsors in the business behind us for 2012.” Edie Racing thanks Scott Miller at Fast Company and K-Tech suspension, Tony Blue of Bluestreak Racing, Novakoski Paint and Body, JDS Decals, Choo-It, Wurth, the AMRA, Empire Tires, John Lenz, Rodney Bennie, Forbes Edie, the Antle family, and special thanks to Statoni Racing for making it possible for us to compete at the nationals by providing help with bike and equipment transport.
