After spending most of the 2013-2014 CVMA season to getting back up to speed after an injury, Andrew Zabzdyr came into the 2014-2015 season hungry. But with only one round remaining, his appetite already seems satiated.
The weekend of March 15th, Zabzdyr clinched all three middleweight classes on board his AP MotoArts/AT MotoShop 2006 Yamaha R6. Heading into the final round he leads Formula Middleweight by 61 points; Middleweight Shootout by 53 points; and more than 100 points in SuperSport Middleweight.
“It was a great season. I had a great bike. Loved the Pirelli tires. Incredible support from my family, Andy, Dustin, Trackdaz and my teammates. Really couldn’t ask for a better year.”
“I’ve been working with the kid since he jumped on an SV650 back in 2010. He has had some amazing seasons in the past but this was a breakout year for Andrew,” said Andy Palmer of AT MotoShop, “He rode the wheels off of that old bike.”
Andrew’s father, Steven commented: “Andrew truly loves racing and we are really happy to see his hard work and dedication pay off. We can’t thank Andy Palmer enough for taking us under his wing and teaching us about racing and now adding Tige into the mix will only make the team stronger.”
“This summer I am looking forward to racing in a few of the MotoAmerica events under the new AT MotoShop banner. It looks like Tige and Andy teaming up will create some opportunities for me. I got a preview of what the AT bikes might look like and I can’t wait to run the colors,” added Andrew.
